A champion for a better future in Kildonan–St. Paul

Thomas Naaykens was born in Winnipeg and raised in North Kildonan, where he still resides today. Growing up in the Kildonan-St. Paul area, he was always involved in the community, and proud to be a member of it.

With a certificate in Marketing from Red River College, and a Bachelor of Business and Administration from the University of Winnipeg, Thomas is well versed in a variety of administrative and organizational responsibilities.

While finishing his degree at the University of Winnipeg, Thomas began a career at the agricultural company James Richardson and Sons International. His position there enabled Thomas to gain valuable financial and managerial experience working on financial statements, financial reporting, budgeting, corporate development and acquisitions, futures hedging, and production management. One of Thomas’ primary responsibilities was the management of production facilities, utilizing his skills and education to improve efficiency and increase productivity.

Dedicated to serving his country, Thomas joined the Canadian Armed Forces as an Army Officer in the Reserves. This experience has not only allowed him to give back to his country, but has also helped complement his leadership and motivational skills, and has aided in honing his administrative responsibilities.

In Thomas’ free time, he likes to spend it with his family at his cabin. Keeping an active lifestyle, he enjoys cycling, cross-country skiing, and enjoying the outdoors. Thomas is also an active member of the Ukrainian community, and volunteers with it when he can.

Thomas is used to hard work and problem solving, and looks forward to serving his Kildonan-St. Paul community in the House of Commons.
